Mr. Liu has advised numerous multinational corporations and international investment banks on their investment ventures and business transactions in China and overseas. Over the years, he has acted as lead PRC counsel in a number of complex foreign direct investment, merger and acquisition and financing projects. These projects involve such industries as telecommunications, electronics, banking, insurance, real estate, automobiles, electrical power and other infrastructure sectors. He also advises various clients on their daily corporate and business matters in China. Mr. Liu has been continuously listed by several major international legal publications as one of China’s top corporate and M&A lawyers.
Prior to joining 优德88中国官方网站 in 1995, Mr. Liu worked for about three years as an associate at Lathrop & Norquist in Kansas City, United States, where he practiced general corporate and commercial law. Before attending law school in the United States, Mr. Liu was a visiting scholar for a year at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies in Washington D.C. and worked for a year for a U.S. Representative at the U.S. House of Representatives as a congressional fellow. He also served as a legislative researcher at the Chinese National People’s Congress for two years following graduate studies in Beijing.
