In September 2023, Chongqing Ant Consumer Finance Co., Ltd. (“Ant Consumer Finance”) signed an agreement regarding a RMB 4 billion consortium loan in Chongqing. The bank consortium included 14 financial institutions from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Thailand and the United States, among which Mizuho Bank (China), Ltd. and The Bank of East Asia (China) Limited acted as the mandated lead arrangers and bookrunners.

The 14 members of the bank consortium were Mizuho Bank (China), Ltd., The Bank of East Asia (China) Limited, Fubon Bank (China) Co., Ltd., Xiamen Bank Co., Ltd., Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (China) Limited, KEB Hana Bank (China) Company Limited, Kasikornbank (China) Company Limited, Korea Development Bank Beijing Branch, E.SUN Bank (China) Company Limited, CTBC Bank Co., Ltd. Shanghai Branch, Woori Bank (China) Limited, Morgan Stanley Bank International (China) Limited, Krung Thai Bank Public Company Limited Kunming Branch and Kookmin Bank (China) Ltd. The consortium loan set a number of industry records and created a new high in the amount of loan provided by a consortium to a player in the consumer finance industry.
