On October 24, 2022, Sanya CDF Seaside Investment & Development Company Limited (the “JV”) established by Brilliant Seaside Limited (“BSS”), a company wholly owned by Swire Properties Limited (“Swire Properties”), and CDF Investment & Development Co., Ltd. (“CDF Investment”), a company wholly owned by China Tourism Group Duty Free Corporation Limited (“CDF”), was awarded the land development rights of commercial land for retail use in Haitang District, Sanya, Hainan Province. The JV intends to use this land to develop a premium resort-oriented commercial site focusing on retail business.
Swire Properties is listed on the Main Board of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong (SEHK). It is committed to developing and managing commercial, retail, hotel and residential properties and its business strategy is to develop mixed-use developments in prime locations at major transportation interchanges. Swire Properties has completed six retail-oriented mixed-use developments in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chengdu. These include Taikoo Li Sanlitun in Beijing and TaiKoo Hui in Shanghai. Swire Properties has a total completed portfolio of approximately 1.3 million square metres of floor area in mainland China.
Located in the heart of Sanya in Haitang Bay, this is Swire Properties’ eighth development in mainland China. Swire Properties and CDF each hold 50% interests, and they intend to work together to create a world-class retail landmark.
